Indian Air Force Group Y (Medical Assistant) Airmen Intake 2026 – Age Limit
- Medical Assistant Trade (10+2) Candidate must be unmarried. Date of Birth should be between 01 January 2006 and 01 January 2010 (both dates inclusive).
- Medical Assistant Trade (Diploma / B.Sc. in Pharmacy)
- Unmarried Candidates Date of Birth should be between 01 July 2003 and 01 July 2008 (both dates inclusive).
- Married Candidates Date of Birth should be between 01 July 2003 and 01 July 2006 (both dates inclusive).
- Maximum Age The candidate's age must not exceed 21 years on the date of enrollment.
- Age Relaxation Any applicable age relaxation will be provided according to Indian Air Force recruitment rules. Candidates are advised to read the official notification carefully for complete details regarding age relaxation and eligibility.

Eligibility Criteria
Indian Airforce Group Y/ Medical Assistant Airmen Intake
Medical Assistant Trade : Candidates who have passed 10+2 / Intermediate or an equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English securing at least 50% aggregate marks and 50% marks in English, or completed a two-year vocational course with non-vocational subjects (Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English) with the same minimum marks from a recognized board, are eligible for this recruitment. Medical Assistant Trade (Diploma / B.Sc in Pharmacy) : Candidates must have passed 10+2 / Intermediate with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English securing at least 50% aggregate marks and 50% marks in English, and also possess a Diploma or B.Sc in Pharmacy with minimum 50% aggregate marks along with valid registration from the State Pharmacy Council or Pharmacy Council of India (PCI).

Physical Fitness Test (PFT)
For candidates up to 21 years of age:
- Complete a 1.6 km run within 7 minutes.
For candidates above 21 years of age (Diploma / B.Sc. in Pharmacy holders):
- Complete a 1.6 km run within 7 minutes 30 seconds.
Height
- Minimum height required: 152.5 cm
Chest
- Chest should be well-developed and proportionate.
- Minimum chest expansion should be 5 cm.
Hearing
- Candidate must have normal hearing ability.
- Should be able to hear a whispered voice from a distance of 6 meters with each ear separately.
Weight
- Weight should be proportionate to the candidate's height and age as per Indian Air Force standards.
Dental Standards
- Healthy gums and a good set of teeth are required.
- Candidate must have a minimum of 14 dental points.
Vision Standards
- Visual standard: 6/36 in each eye, correctable to 6/9 in each eye.
- Maximum refractive error should not exceed +3.50D (including Astigmatism).
